Fatsia japonica

Castor Oil Plant - Indoors or outdoors

Fatsia are evergreen shrubs with stout, sparsely branched stems bearing large, leathery, palmately lobed leaves and small white flowers in terminal compound umbels, followed by small black fruits.

Despite a tender appearance, this tropical-looking, evergreen shrub is as tough as old boots once established. Gorgeously glossy, deep green palmate leaves. In autumn, creamy white flowers are produced in large panicles, which are often followed by round, black fruit. It makes a superb feature in an exotic-style garden, where the large leaves team well with bamboos!
Fatsia japonica is a medium-sized evergreen shrub of open, spreading habit, with palmately-lobed leaves to 45cm in width and small white flowers in globose clusters. Fruits small, black.
Grow in moist but well-drained soil in full sun or partial shade.

As a houseplant, this plant does really well in a low light area. Very easy to grow.
