Pheromone attractant lures male moths.
A pheromone trap set up in your apple tree at the end of April through to August will warn if and when treatment is required to control apple maggots.
Accurate timing of treatment will reduce pesticide need. IF REQUIRED, THEN USE Westland Plant Rescue Fruit & Vegetable Bug Killer, Use one of these sprays in about the third week of June, with a second application about three weeks later.
Codling moth caterpillars can only be controlled on apple and pear with insecticides before they enter the fruits
Beneficial insects are not attracted.
Re-fill kit available, allowing reuse of trap.
