Very free flowering, compact double clematis. Repeat flowering.
long-flowering compact cultivar, this double clematis far outperforms any other double clematis currently available. It has many flowers per stem and has good foliage. The blue-purple flowers are very full, and pom-pom like due to their fully double habit. Each flower will last up to 4 weeks. It is repeat flowering throughout the summer to early autumn. The flowers are approximately 10-15cm (4-6 inches) in size.
It is ideal for growing in containers for the smaller garden.
Looks outstanding with variegated wall trained shrubs or grey foliaged shrubs.
Flowers: Always double in early summer - late summer and early autumn
Flower size: Approximately 10 – 15 cm (4 to 6 inches)
Height: 2 metres (7 feet) approximately
Pruning: Code 2. Light pruning at the end of winter or early spring. Remove dead and weak stems to strong leaf axil buds.
Aspect: Any, except north.
