Amelanchier lamarkii- Snowy Mespilus or Juneberry tree
A medium tree with a dense, oval habit, its masses of flowers open pink and turn white, and it also gives very good autumn colour. (shown in photo)
The young leaves turn from coppery red to green.
A very good choice for street plantings and residential areas as it provides plenty of interest with virtually no maintenance.
It does best in moist, well drained, lime free soils.
