  Patches of hedge get spots and die out -

  Pick off and burn affected leaves

• Leaf Miner
  Pick off affected leaves or squeese the insects inside the leaf if seen.
  



• Honey fungus
  
  The soil will be white with fungal threads and smell musty.
  
  Remove roots and stems of infected plants.
  
  Avoid replanting in that area as
  new plantings in the area will always be at
  some risk of re-infection



• Griselinia Die-off (Sclerotina)
  
  Single plants of established hedges die off.
  The bark will be peeling.
  Remove roots and stems of infected plants.
  
  Bring in fresh topsoil and replant with a different species such as Laurel,or Privet.



• Canker
  
  Cut out dead wood and paint cuts with

  for a quick result and apply a "Rose and Shrub Food" for longer term feeding.
